Festival Sungai Carang 2013/2014

Festival Sungai Carang (Carang River Festival) 2013/2014 is the first Tanjungpinang river annual festival. It started on 31 Dec 2013 and finished on 1 Jan 2014. This event commemorates Tanjungpinang City 230th Anniversary and New Year festival. Sungai Carang is a historical river in Tanjungpinang as trading and government center of Riau-Lingga-Johor-Pahang Malay Sultanate era.

In this events, citizen from vary background was participated. Parts of this event are river festival, decorative ship parade, Gurindam 12 recital competition, 230 meter canvas painting, malay traditional food festival, and many more.
